The Strange Days Tour finally made its way back home for the grand finale homecoming show! Their arrival happened in concurrence with Summer Jam III hosted by Kansas City’s 103.3 Jamz which featured appearances by Nelly and Fat Joe. Tech and his crew have come a long way since the days when they were opening for the main acts at Summer Jam, as Tech was the headlining act. Fat Joe performed his assortment of hits as did Nelly and then Tech took the stage. One of the special moments of the performance was when Tech was able to perform his upcoming single “KC Tea” from The Gates Mixed Plate and the Liquid 9 crew took shots of the crowd for the “KC Tea” music video. Tech performed “Like I Died”, fainting on the stage, being taken away in a stretcher into a coffin, only to have Brotha Lynch Hung emerge to much fanfare. Lynch performed some cuts from Dinner and a Movie as well as the classic “Refuse 2 Lose”. Tech then took the stage again, ending his set with the new hot single “O.G.” from The Gates Mixed Plate. Hometown fans that were eager to see the show were ecstatic about the performances from Tech, Krizz, Kutt and Lynch. The Strange Days Tour is officially at a close–the most successful tour yet for Strange Music. Fans shouldn’t have to wait long until the next time they hit the road to show the world what hip hop is all about.
