Demonstrating the impact TDE has had on the independent hip hop game, the West Coast label landed on XXL’s “Top 5 Freshmen Labels” for 2011. With Jay Rock, Kendrick Lamar, and Schoolboy Q leading the roster, it’s no surprise XXL felt the label earned it’s spot on the list, above Rick Ross’ Maybach Music Group. The latest issue of XXL also features Kendrick Lamar among the new “Freshman” class for 2011.
