As a part of the popular Rhymesayers Entertainment label, Brother Ali has built a considerable following on the indie scene. The often-controversial and outspoken emcee continues to push the limits and although he is praised as one of the most gifted musicians in the Midwest, he recently gave it up to another staple in Midwest hip hop.
After a fan mentioned Brother Ali in the same breath as emcees like Drake, Kendrick Lamar, Crooked I, and Tech N9ne, Brother Ali responded by thanking the fan and went on to call Tech N9ne a “monster”. Readers may recall that Brother Ali previously expressed his desire to collaborate with Tech N9ne and Krizz Kaliko. The critically acclaimed wordsmith has more than earned a spot among the best in the game and with 2012 promising to be big for collaborations, perhaps fans will finally hear the Kansas City King rip it with Brother Ali.
