As Tech N9ne’s second in command, Krizz Kaliko has studied the indie king’s approach for well over a decade. Now with the release of Kickin’ & Screamin‘, some are arguing that the student may have finally surpassed the teacher.
Eric Jaffe of FSU News recently reviewed Krizz Kaliko’s latest release and like many listeners, found the album to be Krizz Kaliko’s best work yet. Praising the diversity and quality of the music, he wrote:
“At roughly one hour long with enough variety and experimentation to keep it fresh, the album never outstays its welcome. Krizz is an unbelievably talented artist who can sing better than most singers and rap better than most rappers. There are moments in time when the “sidekick” outshines his superior (see the 2011 NBA finals if you don’t believe me). Kickin’ and Screamin’ is full of these moments. Strange Music just keeps getting better and better.”
Paired up with the best in the industry, Krizz Kaliko managed to hold his own and arguably outperform his peers on some of the biggest collaborations from Kickin’ & Screamin‘.
His incredible work on the album earned him a 4/5 rating from FSU News and with the buzz around the release, there’s no doubt that more top rankings will follow.
