Finally, fans get the first offering from DJ Booth’s Tech N9ne Re-Produced EP with “Blur” getting a KLUSTERFUK of a remix.

DJ Booth‘s second installment in their Re-Produced series tackles Tech N9ne’s “Blur” as they recruit producers Shane Eli, Soulslicers, and The SleepWalkers to revamp the ¡MAYDAY!-produced original. With the EP due out July 30, the very first remix comes courtesy of Shane Eli.

Assisted by funky bass lines and a latin-inspired vibe, Tech N9ne’s “Blur” takes a trip down to Tijuana and comes back with one mean hangover of a remix.

DJ Booth.net also caught up with producer Shane Eli for an exclusive interview regarding the new remix:

Tech’s storytelling ability is dope, so I wanted to emphasize that, and when I started chopping up the sample underneath the a capella it started to feel more like a story was being told, like a hip hop ‘Hotel California’ or something. I try to make dynamic tracks that have a progression, so that halfway through each verse something new is introduced, whatever it takes to enhance the vibe of the acapella.
