With Tech N9ne’s Something Else finally upon us, AllMusic wastes no time awarding the greatly anticipated release 4 out of 5 stars.

In his review, David Jeffries praises Tech N9ne for skillfully executing everything from horror show rap to jazz club ambiance to rap-rock “that would be endorsed by Zeus.” All the while, sprinkling in features from both unexpected guests like Serj Tankian and familiar faces like Krizz Kaliko to round out what he calls a triumph.

AllMusic writes:

Here and elsewhere, Tech tears down his critics when any Internet search box will reveal his reviews have been generally quite good in recent years, but Something Else overcomes these moments with an attitude that the whole world should submit to the rapper’s Strange Music empire, and he’s going to keep stomping and storming until even Grandma is a fan.
