Kevin Gates took to Instagram to talk how the opinions of people unfamiliar of the grind do not benefit him nor his music. He mentions how “thinking does not pay” and how he aspires to be more free-spoken like other artists in the industry, with one of them being Tech N9ne.

Gates respects artists like Tech’s ability to speak his mind freely and continue to make music that attracts and influences fans. Staying true to who he is and still able to gain profit, Tech sets the bar for how hip-hop can be looked at forever.
